Part-1 (Subject related Knowledge)

(1) History of India and Indian National Movement

Information about social, cultural, economic and political aspects under Indian history. Summarized information from candidates on Indian National Movement regarding freedom movement, rise of nationalism and attainment of independence.

(2) Indian Polity and Indian Constitution

Knowledge of political system including constitutional development in India, Indian Constitution, Indian political system and governance, Panchayati Raj and local self-governance, public policy and official issues and community development.

(3) Geography of India and World

The geography of India includes information on the country's physical, social, and economic geography, agriculture, horticulture, forestry, and animal husbandry in India, population and urbanization patterns in India, smart cities, and smart villages. World geography includes only general information about the subject.

(4) Indian Economy and Social Development

Economic planning in India, objectives and achievements, role of NITI Aayog, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Components of government budget and financial system. Development of agriculture, industry and trade commerce in India. Land reforms in India after independence. Effects of globalization and liberalization in India, changes in industrial policy and their impact on industrial development. Infrastructure: Power, ports, roads, airports and railways etc.

(5) General Science

Questions of General Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) will be based on general understanding and knowledge of science including topics related to daily experience and observation, which can be expected from any well-educated person who has not studied scientific subjects in detail. Role of science and technology in the development of India. Balanced diet, calorie distribution, protein, vitamins, vitamin-related diseases and prevention, diarrhea, anaemia, importance of food in various diseases, importance of vaccination, water cycle, types of water sources, drinking water quality standards, aquifers, electromagnetic resistivity survey etc.

(6) Environment, Ecology and Disaster Management

Environment, ecosystem, wildlife conservation, biodiversity, environmental pollution and degradation. Natural calamities and disaster management.

(7) Current Events of National and International Importance

Knowledge of recent events at both national and international level.

(8) General Intelligence Test

Questions based on logical, critical and analytical ability which will test the result-oriented aptitude of the candidate.

(9) Elementary Mathematical Knowledge

Elementary Mathematics up to high school level: Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry. Statistical analysis—graphs and diagrams which will test the ability of the candidates to draw conclusions related to general knowledge from the information presented related to statistics and graphical diagrams.

(10) General Hindi

  • शासकीय, अर्द्धशासकीय, वैयक्तिक तथा व्यावसायिक समस्याओं के निपटान हेतु सम्बंधित को सम्बोधित पत्र, कार्यालय आदेश, अधिसूचना और परिपत्र सम्बन्धी प्रश्न।
  • वर्ण एवं ध्वनि विचार: उच्चारण, लेखन, स्वर, व्यंजन, मात्रा-पहचान और प्रयोग, ध्वनियों का वर्गीकरण।
  • शब्द रचना: संधि एवं संधि विच्छेद, समास, उपसर्ग, प्रत्यय।
